About The Position

In this role, you will support projects by performing technical or commercial logistics work. You will be responsible for domestic and international multi-leg shipments with both internal and external entities, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. Your work will help ensure project requirements are satisfied in accordance with policies and procedures. Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Career-level position within field. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization, resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Responsibilities

Performs domestic and international multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements
Prepares logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements
Identifies transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers
Prepares Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents
Prepares logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits
Technical understanding of heavy-haul and specialized transport in the Americas
Logistics Technical or Commercial role supporting a moderate/large sized project with a complex scope as a deployed, dedicated resource in the home office or field.
Performs administrative Logistics support tasks primarily in the home office or field.
Coordinates shipments with requisite internal and external entities.
Ensures timely entry of shipment tracking data into system tools
