Requirements

Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse associate/shipping position, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift is required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good data entry, math and computer skills.
Effective communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow-through on assignments.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks.
Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily logistics operations.
Backup for Logistics Coordinator.
Develop schedules, assign tasks, and monitor workload to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct training and performance reviews to build a high-performing logistics team.
Request freight quotes and schedule trucks according to the requested land date.
Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and delays.
Liaise with carriers to negotiate rates and service agreements.
Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Assist with updating Weekly Revenue report daily.
Prepare EOS (End of Shift) report for OV (outside vendors) daily.
Update office whiteboard with daily shipping information.
Maintain shipping records in the company’s ERP system.
Update and maintain Logistics SOPs
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery; communicate delays or discrepancies to relevant departments.
Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to streamline OV (outside vendor) shipments.
Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement.
Assist with tracking out-of-stock items & notify shipping team when items are received.
Schedule shipments and create commercial invoice and pack slip for international shipments.
Verify shipping packets are complete and scan into the shipping folder.
Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all logistics operations.
Clean work area and remove trash daily.
Other duties as assigned.
