About The Position

The Logistics Support role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain activities within the organization. This position focuses on coordinating and managing the flow of goods, information, and resources from suppliers to end customers, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments within Weibel North America operations and will be based at the Weibel Yuma warehouse location. Responsibilities will include cross-collaboration with Weibel Denmark parent company logistics & shipping, procurement, warehousing, and transportation to resolve logistical challenges and improve processes, especially related to aftermarket activities and return merchandise authorization transactions. By maintaining accurate records and monitoring shipment statuses, this role supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Logistics Support professional contributes to reducing costs and enhancing overall supply chain performance through effective coordination and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Technical and/or commercial education at associate’s level – or significant market experience combined with technical aptitude in inventory management and logistics, business administration or related field
  • Deep insight into logistics, supply chain, or related support roles

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Teams
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and customs compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.
  • ERP systems / Dynamics 365 exposure is advantageous, not required
  • Experience with government contracting management systems is advantageous, not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any transportation issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and delivery receipts.
  • Recordkeeping for shipping documentation and all related correspondence.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline processes.
  • Recommend logistics workflow process improvements and documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of logistics software and tools to enhance tracking and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements related to logistics and shipping, including abiding by export controls for ITAR and EAR regulations, in coordination with Legal and Empowered Official.
  • Day to day management of the U.S. service delivery organization, ensuring that we have optimal capabilities, utilization, and motivation for storage, usage, repair and/or final sale of inventory.
  • Hands-on specialist service delivery, such as to support logistics for repairs, radar system deliveries, exercises, etc.
  • Ensure that the service delivery organization handles customer support issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the resolution of U.S. customer shipping/logistics issues and handling warranty cases.
  • Manage the resolution of US return merchandise authorization (RMA) cases and tracking information for internal and external customers.
  • Assist in planning, allocating and coordinating customer deliveries such as FAT, SAT, training, mission control, repairs, support, demonstrations, etc. across the service delivery organization.
