About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a 2nd Shift Logistics Support Coordinator to join their Production Control Team in Elkridge, MD. This role will support Sustainment and Production programs, working closely with Production and Sustainment Planners, Manufacturing, Operations Program Management, Quality, and Engineering. The position requires supporting inventory and materials flow, generating and managing production orders, coordinating non-conforming materials, receiving RMR material, monitoring materials in floor SLOC, maintaining a safe work area, monitoring production flow and supporting scheduling, and liaising across functions. The role also involves physical movement of material, lifting, and carrying, with potential flexibility for shift work or extended hours.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse, logistics or similar role
  • Experience and ability to Lift 30-40 lb. hardware
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP ERP System
  • Experience in GOLD Gov’t Tracking System
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Associate’s Degree or higher

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage inventory and materials flow: track inventory levels (raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), Last Touch including In/Out of Cycle management
  • Generate, release, and manage RMR and production orders: create rework orders, replacement/repair requisitions, and facilitate parts replacement or scrap processing when needed
  • Help coordinate processing of non-conforming materials including MTV/RTV execution
  • Receive incoming RMR material, creating Gold work orders and transact inventory changes in SAP/ERP systems
  • Monitor and manage materials in floor SLOC
  • Maintains safe, efficient, and tidy work area ensuring all safety, FOD, and ESD requirements are met to AS9100 standards
  • Monitor production flow and support scheduling: oversee WIP flow, track status of production and repair orders, help prioritize “make” items or critical parts to meet delivery and customer commitments
  • Liaise and coordinate across functions: interacting with shop-floor managers, test, quality, engineering, stockroom, program management, and all of operations to ensure materials and labor are aligned for production needs and to resolve shortages or other bottlenecks
  • Adapt to production environment demands will require physical movement of material or hardware (often up to ~30-40 lbs.), lifting, carrying, and working on the shop floor; may need flexibility for shift work or extended hours depending on business need
