The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for all personnel-related functions including staffing, performance appraisal, timekeeping, feedback, development, and continuous improvement. This role involves assisting and guiding supervisory staff, managing departmental performance measures, and providing guidance for day-to-day operations. The supervisor will maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensure production leads have the necessary tools and resources, and manage workflow to ensure on-time delivery of quality products. The position also includes conducting staff meetings, developing a culture of cleanliness, and interacting effectively with other departments to enhance employee relations and reduce turnover. Continuous Improvement is a key aspect of this role, as is the ability to work cooperatively with various stakeholders and exercise good judgment. The supervisor will analyze production capacity and demand, develop strategies to optimize resources, and create production plans. Responsibilities also include managing production performance in the ERP system, facilitating order closing, aligning production plans with goals, overseeing product warehousing, registering production information, tracking equipment downtime, coordinating maintenance, preparing shipping instructions, monitoring inventory, and managing the procurement and inventory of imported parts.
