About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor serves as a liaison between the GE Warehouse Leadership and the GE operation. The position is responsible for leading operational and/or support departments including all aspects of shipping and receiving, scheduling, inventory management, and quality management. The Logistics Supervisor upholds all QMP’s and work instructions. Responsible for instilling and maintaining good relationships and working conditions with all Crescent People and Customers both inside and outside of the account through proper execution and championing the Crescent Way. Ensure that all Crescent People consistently produce acceptable productivity, quality, and safety results. This role requires the oversight and purchasing of shipping materials, office supplies, and department needs. Assures compliance with OSHA, MSDS, ASI, ISO, and SQF regulations. Ensure that payroll is processed correctly and all times for direct reports are captured accurately in time management and payroll systems. Champion of lean and continuous improvement strategies including but not limited to Leader Standard work, Value Stream Mapping, and process improvements. As a key leader, the operations lead will support the Business in operating as outlined in the Crescent Way and 3P’s: Purpose, Process, People, while building on our Culture of: Doing It Right, Doing It Safe, Doing It Well.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years related experience or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read instructions and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and understand percentages.
  • Ability to communicate with facts, and to balance talking with listening.
  • Be able to speak with supplier account managers as well as those within customer service and quality to complete daily task and ensure the completion of department goals.
  • Ability to manage one’s time effectively, schedule and prioritize tasks in accordance with the demands of the day.
  • Reliable in attendance and punctuality; completes assigned responsibilities to satisfaction; follows through with commitments.

  • Maintain a good knowledge of all Crescent supplies, always maintaining proper stock levels.
  • Maintain a monthly performance log for all Crescent Team Members.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications to communicate daily tasks, KPIs, conduct daily business, and all other key reporting indicators.
  • Maximize site capacity and output capability through the planning and scheduling of all resources.
  • Assess/verify the ongoing need for resources.
  • Work with other departments and utilize tools and resources to drive a lean culture.
  • Lead projects to eliminate waste and defects within the department.
  • Validate the use and continuous improvement of all production and operational processes.
  • Execute quality management of material through controlling customer hardware and proper execution of QEMs.
  • Ensure proper documentation is kept and maintained of processes and procedures.
  • Utilize account tools and ERP system to act quickly and execute QEM management in a timely manner.
  • Assist with ISO program management.
  • Assist with FOD and parts awareness training.
  • Maintain files for Quality Event Management.
  • Log non-conforming parts when applicable.
  • Ensure the root cause for all escapes is identified and corrected.
  • Work with PQEs to identify part disposition and/or conformance issues.
  • Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account.
  • Ensure that there is no cross contamination of parts between accounts.
  • Complete Supervisor Cycle Counts as applicable.
  • Ensure Inventory accuracy goals of account are met.
  • Be able to report out on Inventory metrics and speak to open action items.
  • Respond promptly to client requests via phone or email in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Process shipping document amendments and kit matrices upon request.
  • Cultivate teamwork with the customer, working together to build a relationship of trust and problem solving.
  • Understand the nuances of each customer and their needs.
  • Report well documented and accurate metrics – DSR’s and KPI’s.
