About The Position

We are looking for someone who can lead the San Diego Logistics team in daily operations of Receiving, Material Stores and Shipping reporting directly to a remote leader. This role requires strong leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills to manage a Logistics team and ensure compliance with company policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements. The position is responsible for On the Job (OTJ) training, professional development and advancement of assigned stockroom personnel, and will assist in establishing both team and individual goals. The supervisor will be responsible for all personnel activity related to human resources, including hiring, mentoring, and disciplinary actions. They will monitor labor, approve overtime, use data and metrics to drive KPI performance, drive process improvements, and enforce company policies including safety & security. The role also involves executing unplanned changes to strategy, responding to customer requirements in a timely manner, monitoring employee trainings, and preparing teams and supporting audits for Customers, internal and external, DCMA, DCAA, and Financial.

Requirements

  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Previous leadership experience in a professional manufacturing and warehouse setting.
  • Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite saavy
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to make informed decisions and improvements
  • Willingness to hold people accountable and be held accountable
  • Ability to respond quickly to a dynamic work environment.
