About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for meeting warehouse financial standards by monitoring operational best practices and maintaining efficiency. This role ensures 100% compliance with the company Safety Program and delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items. The supervisor will maintain the storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements. They will also maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts, reconciling variances, and inputting data. Additionally, the role involves securing the warehouse by testing systems and updating job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications. The Logistics Supervisor accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed and meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, and identifying warehouse operational improvements. They will move inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse and coordinating inventory transfers with related departments. The supervisor also keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. This position directly supervises a crew of 5-6 employees.

Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Proficient with all MS office programs
  • Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Experienced analyzing data and reporting
  • Must be able to obtain and sustain all required badging needed to work on assigned projects

  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
