Provide support in the maintenance management of Bunge’s rail car fleet.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in transportation or logistics
2 or more years of experience with the maintenance of a private rail car fleet
Background in transportation is a must, which includes providing logistics support
Ability to set goals, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and conflicting objectives
Problem solver and quick/accurate decision maker
Proven ability to work independently with little supervision
Demonstrate high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Responsibilities
Work with Bunge facilities and railcar leasing companies on shopping of railcars due to required maintenance programs
Obtain shop information on status of railcars for private car fleet and provide biweekly shop report to business units and Rail Operations management.
Work with railroads to divert rail equipment for maintenance programs and update the appropriate computer application with diversion information
Monitor and investigate railcars that report as bad order by various railroads and update the appropriate computer application with investigation findings
Utilize various software applications to manage, track and trace the private fleet of railcars in relation to railcars requiring maintenance
Work with mobile units to repair railcars at Bunge or customer facilities as needed
Maintain accuracy of railcar records in the software applications with regards to car mechanical and test information
Maintain annual kosher certification of private rail tank car fleet
File and update loading authority applications on private railcar fleet through Railinc web-based database as railcars are added, remarked, or removed from Bunge’s fleet.
Provide backup support to Manager, Fleet Maintenance
