As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation & improvement of Supply Chain processes and storage plans for Caterpillar Paving Products, Brooklyn Park Facility. What to Expect: As a Logistics Specialist, you will support Inventory Control & Supply Chain Engineering activities related to production and New Product Introduction (NPI). In addition, it is expected that the candidate is aware of inventory management systems and can integrate this into their activities.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in one of the following areas: Material Specialist, Shipper, Receiver, Lead or equivalent experience materials in a highly collaborative environment
Minimum of 1 year experience of ERP system (Mach1 SAP or other) experience including material movements and transactions
Intermediate computer skills (including MS Office/Excel)
Minimum 1 year experience operating material handling equipment or prior certification (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach, picker)

Nice To Haves

Prior Caterpillar Paving experience
Associate's degree or two year technical degree or certificate
Previous expertise in supply channel

Responsibilities

Support processing areas and resolve inventory record accuracy issues
Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning & execution
Standardize warehouse storage & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) presentation including labeling
Material Handling standard work documentation enhancements
Monitoring of returnable rack repair queues (including replacement materials stocking)
Data purification & analysis including SAP control cycles & kanban’s
