About The Position

The Logistics Specialist supports the needs of the business by overseeing the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, this role optimizes operations efficiencies and enhances overall business performance. Individuals with experience in logistics management and supply chain coordination would excel in this role. The pay range for this role is fixed at $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience. Candidates with strong, relevant experience may be offered salaries toward the higher end of the range, while those earlier in their careers can expect offers aligned with the entry level of the range.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • High School Diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior customer service and/or logistics experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a distribution, warehouse, or light manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all outbound LTL and TL shipments in conjunction with the customers’ needs and Kinter’s operational requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors, purchasing, and transportation partners to coordinate all inbound freight shipments to ensure all deliveries are received on time and at the correct location.
  • Manage importation of products and materials by working with our 3PLs and Supply Chain Solutions providers to meet service level expectations.
  • Coordinate import and export related tasks in compliance with US Customs laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members, internal customers, and external partners to actively lead and support cross functional initiatives to drive improved overall business performance.
  • Maintain a working relationship with FedEx, UPS, and other carriers to increase operational efficiencies, reduce response time when issues arise, keep all freight software systems up to date, etc.
  • Submit claims for damage or loss and follow the process until the claim is finalized.
  • Provide necessary/relevant information to the accounting department to ensure the payment process is accurate, seamless, and completed within the vendors required terms.
