About The Position

The Truckload Logistics Specialist provides operational support to the nationwide sales team by accurately quoting, building, and communicating updates for truckload opportunities. The role requires multitasking, problem-solving, prioritizing a daily workload, overcoming issues, and resolving problems. The specialist acts as a customer-focused advocate for the sales teams and helps them quote and win more truckload opportunities. The position offers varied tasks, opportunities to develop logistics skills, and collaboration with colleagues across the organization.

The new hire will shadow the Truckload Manager for several weeks and receive hands-on training and observation until confident working independently. Other Truckload Logistics Specialists will also be available to answer questions.

Compensation is a $40,000 annual salary, based on experience, plus commissions. The employer states that employment is at-will and that the annual salary does not guarantee compensation or benefits if employment is terminated.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize a daily workload.
• Customer-centric approach and ability to advocate for sales teams.
• Strong organization and record-keeping skills.
• Comfort with oral and written communication, primarily by telephone and email.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and occasionally work extended hours.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available as needed.
• Sight and hearing capability, and ability to sit for extended periods and perform normal walking, bending, twisting, and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to sales and customer requests for truckload quotes.
• Multitask to quote opportunities, accurately build loads, and communicate shipment updates.
• Advocate for the sales team by solving problems and helping close opportunities.
• Educate sales teams on how to quote and win more truckload opportunities.
• Prioritize daily workload and resolve operational issues.
