About The Position

Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our Team Leads will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This position follows a hybrid schedule based in Dallas, TX at customer site (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
3+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree Transportation/Supply Chain or related field
3-5 years of freight brokerage, logistics or customer service including background in LTL and TL modes
Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand report and offer feedback on report
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Workspace including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables and advanced formulas
Transportation industry knowledge

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, executing operational requests and aligning daily workflows with customer-directed priorities.
Act as a brand ambassador for Uber Freight, maintaining a positive professional demeanor to strengthen client relationships and promote company services.
Proactively resolve conflicts, identify performance patterns, and implement process improvements to optimize cost, service, and profitability.
Develop and distribute internal and customer performance reports; review and analyze account P&Ls to ensure cost expectations are met.
Manage TMS updates (rates, configurations, and tables) and document, execute, and regularly review customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor daily workflows and hold the team accountable for executing all key job functions.
Secure freight capacity by leveraging market data, multi-modal knowledge (modes, weights, volumes), and auction tools to efficiently procure carriers.
Negotiate spot-rate and contract pricing for new and existing business; establish strong carrier relationships to secure capacity during tight markets.
Manage approvals for expedited shipments or rates exceeding benchmark thresholds, and participate in after-hours "on-call" rotations.
