About The Position

DPP is seeking a Logistics Specialist II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a 12-month W2 contract role located onsite in Duke Field, FL. The role requires US citizenship and a current/active Secret security clearance. As a Logistics Specialist II, you will prepare logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stocking. Your responsibilities include routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities. You will also coordinate shipping activities to ensure adherence to state, federal, and global regulations, as well as import/export requirements.

Requirements

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
Experience with inventory databases.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Typically 2 or more years of relevant experience.
US Citizen.
Must hold a current/active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
HazMat Training/Certification.
Ability to operate a Forklift.
Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
Understanding of Shelf Life.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
