About The Position

The Logistics Specialist plays a key role in supporting supply chain operations throughout the hospital. This position may be responsible for answering department phones, carrying a mobile device to respond to operational needs, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Depending on operational needs and assigned work areas, this role may support a variety of functions, including inventory management within surgical services, case cart and supply picking, product replenishment, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The position may also assist with warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries, order fulfillment, product distribution, and learning the processes related to charging and crediting supplies. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. While the position is primarily focused on supply chain operations, team members regularly interact with clinical staff, patients, and visitors and are expected to maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires long periods of standing and walking (as much as 6+ hours per day) and heavy pushing and pulling.
  • Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head; carry up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred.
  • Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment.
  • May be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire.
