About The Position
The Logistics Specialist is an entry-level position that will support the Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program. The successful candidate must have experience and demonstrated experience in creating shipments, receiving shipments, restocking inventory, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with the Site Lead to maintain a shipment schedule, reviewing cost shipments to ensure price and deadline adherence, keeping track of items not in the database on appropriate spreadsheets, maintaining mobile warehouse inventory, and consulting daily with Field Engineers and Site Lead prior to requisitions, monthly bundle shipments, and emergency shipments. This role involves fulfilling requisitions, data entry of received shipments, physical restocking of received shipments, assisting in quarterly audits, completing weekly cycle counts, coordinating with the Site Lead when ordering supplies for shipping and receiving, providing a weekly charge status report for lithium battery boxes on site, transferring inventory between warehouses, and dropping off small packages to the FedEx locale facility when needed. The position also requires assisting the Site Lead in the preparation of international shipments.
Requirements
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Must be able to complete Stand-up and Sit-down forklift certification
- Must be able to obtain Dangerous Goods certification
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs. frequently
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience in shipping, receiving and warehousing
- Must be able to work independently
- Familiar with shipping and receiving software
