About The Position

Join the team that is responsible for keeping our leading-edge military expeditionary products and rugged industrial/commercial products going. The Logistics & Service Specialist is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing HDT products including generators, shelters, and air conditioning units. Also explains discovered mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers. The ideal candidate will live within 30 miles of our demo facility located at 1760 W. Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona 85745.

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum relevant work experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; some secondary preferred
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English
  • Ability to read schematics, blue prints, drawings, etc.
  • Ability to provide monthly training reports
  • Track and assist in resolution of customer issues and follow up
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor work requests
  • Customer focused and able to negotiate sales agreements
  • Able to meet goals and budget requirements
  • Ability to drive company vehicles with trailer in tow
  • Team player with attention to details
  • Able to work in high stress situations
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task in a dynamic environment
  • Strong decision/problem solving skills
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office) and experience with a CRM program
  • Able to operate a Forklift

Responsibilities

  • Performs corrective repairs on all HDT products
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing various types of HVAC Systems and Generators
  • First line of contact for all technical questions and requirements from customers and Sales Representatives
  • Conducts initial product training on all HDT Products purchased by customers.
  • Reports data, schedule and results of customer support activities to the Manager, Logistics & Support
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in scope of work as business dictates
  • Professionally represents HDT in appropriate manner when assigned to assist in customer related functions including product demonstrations, trade shows and training exercises.
  • Refurbishes returned demonstration equipment and pack for proper storage.
  • Serves as responder to after-hours calls from 1-800 emergency number, as required.
  • Works with inside sales for achievement of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekend, and holidays as needed.
  • Frequent travel.
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • May participate in cross-functional teams and work groups
