About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a part-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The role involves driving long distances throughout Michigan in a company-owned vehicle to transport medical and business materials, including lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail. Drivers use a handheld scanning device to track items, follow operating policies and service schedules, and represent MedSpeed professionally to clients and the public. They load and unload vehicles, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and keep vehicles clean and orderly. Route duties and assignments may vary with client and business needs, and drivers must be able to perform duties across assigned routes. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at $16.00 per hour. Candidates must have previously received a COVID-19 vaccination or be willing to obtain it independently before starting, subject to local requirements. Candidates must also hold a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License or be willing to obtain one independently before starting. Employment offers are conditional on completing a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review. Drivers operate vehicles with dashcam recording systems, with video captured in accordance with applicable laws and company safety policies.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
Must have an active Michigan Chauffeur’s License or be willing to obtain one independently before the start date.
Must have an excellent driving history.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity with and adaptability to technology.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to operate company vehicles equipped with dashcam recording systems, with video captured while driving in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
Must have received a COVID-19 vaccination or be willing to obtain it independently before the start date; proof may be required depending on location and local mandates.
Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, lift items off storage racks, and handle varying item weights.
Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review if offered employment.

Responsibilities
