About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Morrisville, North Carolina. The role involves long-distance driving throughout North Carolina, primarily in a company-owned vehicle, to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. The fixed schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and the listed pay is $16.00 per hour. Drivers use a handheld scanning device to track items, follow operating policies and service schedules, load and unload vehicles, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and keep vehicles clean and orderly. Route responsibilities may vary with client and business needs, and drivers must be able to perform duties across assigned routes. The role requires safe, courteous driving, professional interactions with clients and the public, and teamwork and adaptability. Requirements

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
At least 19 years of age and an active driver's license held for at least 3 years.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity with and adaptability to technology.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent driving history.
Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting items off storage racks.
Comfort walking long distances and standing for long periods.
Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands even when drop-off and pickup responsibilities or routes vary.

Responsibilities
