About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Senior Principal in Norfolk, VA. This role will provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for several PMW-160 programs, including CANES, ISNS, CENTRIXS, SubLAN, EPF, and DCGS-N, as well as other IT-based systems. The position involves supporting the PMW-160 ILS Manager with configuration management and information for all ILS products, covering both new construction and sustainment. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). The role also requires developing Configuration Item lists for Allowance Parts List (APL) development and lifecycle support, supporting Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provisioning with Provisioning Technical Data (PTD) packages, and reviewing various reports (ICRs, ECRs, EPRs) to identify ILS impacts and costs. Additionally, the position involves developing ILS Certifications for CANES and TIDE programs, reviewing installation documentation, developing Nomenclatures in JETDAS, and coordinating with ILS product developers regarding End of Life (EOL)/End of Production (EOP) impacts. Communication with material managers at NAVSUP WSS regarding material support dates and attendance at various program and ILS meetings are also key aspects of this role. The Senior Principal will perform data analysis, consultation on engineering/logistics strategies, cost analysis, strategy assessments, affordability readiness, warranty management, and total ownership cost reduction. They will also perform Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), develop impact statements, conduct vendor research, and determine Mission Essential Codes (MECs). A significant part of the role involves supporting NAVSUP WSS in resolving issues related to EOL, suitable substitutions, and configuration control for a large number of items. Other duties include developing cost estimates, ILS product impacts, and completion dates for ECPs/ECOs, and providing Navy Change Request (NCR)/ECP/ECO notices to the ILS team. The role requires using Configuration Management Database tools for spares estimates, failure rate identification, and low-level inventory analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience
Must have a Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Provide In-Service Engineering Activity – Integrated Logistics Support (ISEA-ILS) support for PMW-160 programs.
Support the PMW-160 ILS Manager for Configuration Management (CM)/Configuration Information (CI) issues.
Review and update Engineering Change Request (ECR)/Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)/Engineering Change Order (ECO) as required.
Develop Configuration Item lists in support of Allowance Parts List (APL) development.
Support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provisioning by providing Provisioning Technical Data (PTD) packages.
Review Incident Complaint Reports (ICRs), ECRs, and Engineering Proposal Requests (EPRs) to develop ILS Check Lists.
Develop ILS Certifications for the CANES and TIDE programs.
Develop Nomenclatures in JETDAS for CANES and TIDE systems.
Develop ILS Checklists for CANES and TIDE systems.
Coordinate with ILS product developers to identify impacts to products due to EOL/EOP, ICRs, ECRs, ECPs and ECOs.
Communicate Material Support Dates with the material manager at NAVSUP WSS.
Attend Change Implementation Boards (CIBs), Design Engineering Working Groups (DEWGs), In-Process Reviews (IPRs), and other program/ILS meetings.
Develop and present briefs on hardware support and configuration at Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) and Fleet Summit Meetings.
Perform data analysis, consultation in engineering/logistics strategies; cost analysis; strategy assessments; affordability readiness; warranty management; and reduction of total ownership costs.
Performed Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) with the ISEA and ILS.
Developed impact statements, performed vendor research, and determined the Mission Essential Code (MEC).
Support the NAVSUP WSS by resolving EOL, suitable substitution, and configuration-control issues.
Review ECPs & ECOs and develop the projected cost estimates, ILS products, and estimated completion dates.
Provide Navy Change Request (NCR)/ECP/ECO notices to the ILS team.
Use Configuration Management Database tools to develop spares estimates, identify failure rates, determine low-level inventory, and other risk factors.
