About The Position

The Logistics Senior Analyst – Inter-Plant Trailer and Material Transfer directs the strategic coordination and optimization of material movement between Hillphoenix facilities. This role is responsible for the independent oversight of inter-plant trailer logistics, utilizing data-driven analytics to evaluate operational efficiency and maintain the integrity of the supply chain. The Senior Analyst exercises autonomous decision-making to resolve complex inventory variances and manage critical vendor performance, ensuring seamless material flow in support of high-level production objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5-8 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, demonstrating a track record of independent project management and operational analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and authorize daily inter-plant shipment schedules to meet fluctuating production requirements.
  • Independently evaluate distribution center movements to mitigate potential delivery risks.
  • Determine the necessity and priority of trailer movement requests; authorize and validate documentation to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
  • Manage and reconcile complex inventory discrepancies. Conduct independent investigations into variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker and liaison between Materials, Production, and Quality teams to resolve critical material handoff issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability and escalation for contracted trailer dispatch teams. Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate service alignments to maintain operational continuity.
  • Analyze key operational metrics to formulate daily and weekly performance reports. Provide expert recommendations to management for process improvements and waste reduction.
  • Establish and enforce operational standards for packaging and transport, ensuring all activities align with corporate safety and quality benchmarks.
