About The Position

We are immediately hiring a Logistics Project Lead in Novi, MI (Hybrid) for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This role involves leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers to develop innovative solutions, managing multiple projects, and conferring with operations managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions. The position requires applying company methodologies and tools to design transportation operations, mapping and documenting processes, identifying and implementing process improvements, and fostering an environment of innovation. The role also includes benchmarking internal processes, managing data flow processes with IT, establishing performance measures, conducting Supply Chain analyses, facilitating performance reviews, interacting with customers and Sales/Operations, taking an active role in account financials, and performing data analysis using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Statistical Process Controls (SPC) tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree Logistics, Management, Industrial Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience.
• Eight (8) years or more experience Operations, Consulting, or third party Logistics
• Eight (8) years or more experience Demonstrated experience in one of the RIL Engineering competencies
• Eight (8) years or more experience in one of the target market industry segments
• Ability to effectively solve problems and challenges that satisfy customers.
• Ability to define and be responsive to customer requirements
• Develops and delivers effective presentations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).

• Practicing knowledge of sales process; advanced level.
• Knowledge of RIL operations and related systems; advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor other engineers to develop innovative solutions.

• Map and document processes, identify gaps, and recommend/implement improvements.
• Foster an environment of innovation within the team.
• Benchmark internal processes to ensure best practices are presented to customers.
• Manage data flow processes to support daily operations in conjunction with IT.
• Establish and implement performance measures.
• Conduct Supply Chain analyses and recommend alternative strategies.
• Facilitate performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to aid development of individual and team skills.
• Effectively interact with customers, Sales, and Operations to create value propositions.
• Take an active and growing role in account financials.
• Collect data and perform statistical analysis, apply Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Statistical Process Controls (SPC) tools.
• Create presentations and conduct meetings.
• Develop the solution proposal and assist in the presentation and selling of the transaction.
• Make presentations to both lateral and external customers.
• Define the problem, organize and manage the complexity of the opportunity and plan/manage the project and its deliverables into successful result.
• Obtain the appropriate and necessary resources and apply them efficiently and effectively to the development of the solution.
• Participate in the strategic planning for the organization.
• Identify, present, and participate in the testing of tools and techniques that enhance the competency of the organization.
• Participate actively in related professional and educational organizations to further individual, team, and RIL professional skills and recognition as the leader in the industry.
• Actively participate in the recruiting and interview process.
• Coach and mentor coops, interns, and college recruits.
• Participate in the indoctrination of other new members including LMs and Directors.
• Identify best practices/recommendations; implementation of plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
