About The Position

The Logistics/Porter provides maintenance, sanitation, and safety support to the distribution center by keeping aisles clear and clean for efficient operations. The role performs routine maintenance activities such as mopping, sweeping, repacking, and removing damaged product. Employees must perform all tasks safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal laws, while modeling the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability and willingness to work with a sense of purpose and urgency.
• Awareness of surroundings and dedication to workplace safety.
• Ability to work weekends, differing shifts, and overtime as needed to meet business needs.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• High school education or GED, plus related work experience in a fast-paced distribution center setting.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop aisles and walkways as needed for safe, efficient operations.
• Pick up and properly discard aisle debris, including plastic, corrugated material, paper, and split products.
• Walk and monitor aisles for damaged, split, or improperly placed product and respond as needed.
• Remove damaged product and repackage or discard it as appropriate.
• Use a hand-held scanner to identify misplaced product and ensure it is properly placed in the distribution center.
• Empty garbage cans in the distribution center.
• Perform all tasks safely and consistently with company policies and applicable state and federal laws.
• Demonstrate the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
