Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Associate Degree (Supply Chain or Business)
  • High school diploma or GED (if no Associate Degree, then 6+ years of related experience)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Must be able to learn, understand and effectively use applications in the Company’s multiple ERP systems and Tradebeam.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year college degree in related studies
  • Two to four years of prior transportation experience
  • HAZMAT certification

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate international/domestic forklift and parts shipments out of New Bremen manufacturing facilities for all transportation modes.
  • Create and complete necessary documentation, including export documentation, required for international/domestic shipments.
  • Complete consolidation plans to efficiently utilize containers/trucks and reduce cost.
  • Carry out system invoicing of orders as shipments are dispatched.
  • Monitor the performance of carriers to ensure transportation milestones are achieved.
  • Comply with HAZMAT regulations for all shipments.
  • Communicate load plans and changes to company cross-dock facilities, branches, dealers and subsidiaries.
  • Work closely with other company assembly facilities on shipment consolidations.
  • Provide freight quotes to sales and branches networks.
  • Collaborate with Production, Inspection, Sales and branches in tracking, expediting and scheduling orders.
  • Work with carriers in scheduling appointments and expediting orders.
  • Monitor carrier performance and report issues.
  • Assist with tracking of cross-docked orders.
  • Cross dock inventory reports.
  • Maintain Heat Treat files for monthly audit.
  • Creating monthly metric reports and participate in review sessions.
  • Approve invoices from forwarder and carriers.
  • Use the global trade management software to view restricted party screenings for global export compliance.
  • Assist customer specific accounts with cross-dock operations and scheduling of customer pick up.
  • Work with Sales, Customer Service, branches, dealers, and company facilities to collect supporting documentation for damaged freight.
  • Determine if freight needs to be replaced or repaired and gather necessary information to determine cost.
  • Process supporting documents (pictures, invoices, bill of lading (BOL), proof of delivery (POD), work orders) and work with carriers to resolve claims.
  • Take corrective action to prevent claims from happening in the future.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
