About The Position

This role is a member of the Logistics Operations team responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of finished goods, equipment, reticles, and other critical materials supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations. The position provides operational oversight and technical expertise across shipping, receiving, domestic and international transportation, carrier/vendor management, material handling equipment, and dangerous goods compliance. The role analyzes logistics processes and KPIs, ensures accurate material status across SAP and other systems, and drives root-cause resolution and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience developing and optimizing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment while effectively coordinating across internal teams, customers, carriers, and third-party service providers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in Supply Chain.
  • Associate’s or college degree.
  • Military service and education in similar field may substitute for education and work experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years experience in international shipping and customs clearance a plus.
  • DOT, IATA, IMDG Hazmat shipping certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of Shipping & Receiving, transportation, and logistics activities supporting Austin and Taylor operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of inbound, outbound, inter-site, and finished goods shipments.
  • Manage vendor-operated labor, trucking carriers, and third-party logistics providers; monitor staffing, training, service levels, safety performance, and operational KPIs, and hold vendor leadership accountable for corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for safety, cost, turnaround time (TAT), labor efficiency, transportation performance, delivery reliability, and vendor compliance to identify risks and drive operational performance.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and specialized shipments across fabs, onsite and offsite warehouses, and external destinations; proactively identify shipment or material-flow risks and resolve disruptions with Manufacturing, Product Operations, Global Operations, and service providers.
  • Oversee onsite logistics equipment and depot operations, including PMHE, vehicles, golf carts, fuel storage, and other material handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, availability, regulatory compliance, and safe operation.
  • Ensure compliance with company EH&S requirements and applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods regulations, including DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, and CTPAT; conduct field inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization through data analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, vendor/RFP and contract management, process improvement, and accurate operational reporting; communicate key trends, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
