About The Position
The Logistics Operator is responsible for various tasks within the distribution department, ensuring accurate inventory, safe loading of trailers, and adherence to safety guidelines. This role involves operating forklifts, performing vehicle checks, and collaborating with the distribution team. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities
- Read and understand order paperwork to correctly identify manifest contents
- Scan all product as it enters assigned department to maintain accurate inventory
- Complete required paperwork after loading trailers including verification of load for each trailer
- Double check each load is safely and properly secured following a ‘360 Walk Around’ of each load for safe distribution
- Exercise the company’s safety guidelines and follow all PPE protocols
- Properly lift, handle, and carry product; asking for help when needed to ensure safe lifting techniques
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment
- Complete forklift prechecks and operate a forklift when needed
- Perform forklift, company vehicle and trailer prechecks
- Record and report issues with AWD vehicles and trailers to Fleet Maintenance for repairs or standard care
- Work as a member of the Distribution team; support colleagues when help is needed or requested
- Work occasional overtime hours and weekends as needed, adjusted schedules and/or responsibilities to support the Avanti Team
