Logistics Operator

ONEOK•Galena Park, TX
•$61,000 - $91,000

About The Position

The Logistics Operator helps manage incoming and outgoing product receipts at marine facilities, which may receive product around the clock from rail cars, truck racks, barges or ships, pipelines, and transfers between tanks within the facility. The role balances customer demand with storage capacity, monitors overlapping asset schedules, and responds to real-time changes. Decisions can have significant financial consequences for customers and ONEOK. The position works 12-hour shifts to accommodate changing conditions and operates with minimal direct supervision, applying extensive knowledge and may serve as an informal expert for less experienced team members. The operator maintains product movement schedules and inventory records, verifies storage capacity, and enters and checks movement documentation in inventory systems including Mainsail/Mainmast and ODS. The role compares gauge paperwork completed by operations and third-party inspectors so accounting receives accurate information for customer billing. It coordinates with terminal operations, maintenance, commercial, environmental, engineering, customers, and other groups to carry out safe and effective product movements and meet regulatory requirements. Environmental data is gathered and entered into the QMS, and the employee may participate in internal, customer, or governmental audits. As time allows, the role performs terminal operator duties, including operating pumps, sampling and gauging products, handling tank and equipment lineups, truck rack and rail operations, inspections, and general maintenance. The employee follows safety policies and procedures, supports emergency response, and may perform DOT-covered pipeline operations, maintenance, or emergency-response functions. Travel may be required as needed. Depending on assigned tasks, the employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring an applicable driver's license.
