About The Position
Pentagon Technologies, Inc. is a leader in providing mission-critical semiconductor services. We are seeking outstanding candidates to join our team during a period of unprecedented growth in the industry. This role is initially offered as a temporary position through a staffing agency, with the potential for conversion to a full-time, direct employee based on performance and business needs. The position is available on the Second Shift (2-10:30pm). As a Logistics Operator, you will perform tasks in both Shipping and Receiving departments, focusing on shipping parts to customers according to specific packaging directions and ensuring the accountability of incoming orders. You will review purchase orders and packing slips to match customer information with received orders and input data into Pentagon Technology’s MIS system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and comprehend internal and external documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, bill of lading and packing slip documents, logs, and general company records, as well as customer packing slips or purchase orders.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Appreciation for timeliness, quality, and punctuality.
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Must pass Company required screening tests.
- Regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage.
- Should be able to pick-up 50 lbs on occasional or regular basis.
- Will on a regular basis push or pull heavy loads (up to 750 lbs.) with basic material handling equipment.

Responsibilities
- Shipping parts back to customers according to specific packaging directions.
- Ensuring the accountability of orders sent to the facility from customers.
- Reviewing purchase orders or packing slip information to match customer information with the order received.
- Inputting information into Pentagon Technology’s MIS system.
- Making sure supplied parts within the purchase order/packing slip are received.
- Working with outside delivery vendors.
- Understanding basic shipping documentation.
- Working well with other members of the Logistics team.
- Inventorying the parts sent from the customer.
- Understanding and following operating procedures for consistent, reliable, and timely processing/packaging of parts.
- Working with MIS systems and peripheral hardware such as scanners and printers.
- Understanding and following specific packaging instructions provided on a work order traveler.
- Generating packing labels and shippers using the company MIS system.
- Scheduling pick-ups with shipping vendors via the internet or telephone.
- Maintaining package-tracking information.
- Maintaining and filing all work order travelers with supporting documentation.
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Following all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies and specific safety regulatory requirements.
