About The Position

LST Group is looking for a Logistics Operations Specialist to support the execution side of our brokerage operations. This role is critical to ensuring shipments move smoothly, customers stay informed, and carriers remain compliant with our tracking requirements. You’ll be responsible for real-time shipment visibility, proactive communication, and post-delivery documentation, working closely with both carriers and internal team members. You will also serve as a key liaison between Carrier Sales, Account Management, and our carrier partners, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and execution across all parties. Responsibilities

  • Monitor active shipments from pickup through delivery
  • Proactively identify and escalate delays, issues, or risks
  • Maintain accurate, real-time updates in the TMS
  • Ensure all loads reflect accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in the TMS such as pickup numbers, references, and delivery instructions
  • Identify and address discrepancies or missing details that may impact execution
  • Ensure carriers are properly set up and actively using required tracking tools (ELD / app-based tracking)
  • Follow up with drivers to maintain tracking compliance throughout the load lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues and enforce compliance standards
  • Provide timely, accurate updates to customers on shipment status
  • Communicate delays or issues clearly and proactively
  • Support account managers with shipment visibility and service updates
  • Maintain consistent communication with drivers and dispatchers
  • Build professional relationships while holding carriers accountable
  • Verify pickup numbers, reference numbers, and delivery instructions before dispatch
  • Manage check calls and milestone updates throughout the load
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) from carriers in a timely manner
  • Verify documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Upload and organize PODs within internal systems
  • Act as the central point of communication between Carrier Sales, Account Management, and carriers
  • Ensure all parties are aligned on load status, expectations, and service issues
  • Relay critical updates quickly and accurately to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Monitor carrier performance metrics (on-time pickup, on-time delivery, tracking compliance)
  • Help build and maintain a preferred carrier list
  • Identify repeat service issues and escalate problem carriers
  • Confirm appointment times and reschedule when necessary
  • Enter and audit loads in the TMS for accuracy
  • Review and send rate confirmations to carriers
  • Help cover “after-hours” shipment issues or escalation when needed
  • Coordinate re-power, layover, detention, lumper, or other service issues
  • Review accessorial requests from carriers (detention, layover, TONU, etc.) validate charges before forwarding to accounting or account management
  • Ensure all load paperwork is complete before invoicing
  • Help reconcile missing PODs, rate discrepancies, or billing issues
  • Track claim-related documentation when needed
