About The Position

The Logistics Operations Specialist ensures strong On-Time and In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance by executing and coordinating shipping activities, maintaining system accuracy, and supporting inventory control processes. This role drives visibility and accountability across order fulfillment, proactively resolves issues, and partners cross-functionally to meet customer commitments. In addition, this position supports inventory integrity through cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities, ensuring alignment between system data and operational execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and shipping/warehouse processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned sales orders from release through shipment to support OTIF performance.
  • Drive timely and accurate batch closures to ensure shipment completeness and system integrity.
  • Monitor and resolve late or at-risk orders by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide OTIF loss analysis and coding to identify root causes and support continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between Shipping and Customer Service teams to communicate order status and resolve issues.
  • Generate and manage pick tickets, shipping documentation, and outbound shipment requirements including labels, BOLs, and carrier scheduling.
  • Ensure all shipping transactions and freight invoicing are accurately completed within the ERP system.
  • Support dock operations including loading and unloading activities and documentation compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, workflow disruptions, and customer escalations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve order flow, including pulling forward orders based on inventory availability.
  • Support inventory control processes by managing order and inventory status within the ERP system.
  • Lead cycle count activities and ensure adherence to inventory accuracy standards.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory planning, execution, and variance resolution.
  • Partner with Accounting and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify and support process improvements to enhance shipping efficiency and inventory accuracy.
