Working with a customer to understand every pain point, PARS develops a metrics-driven solution that can combine any or all of its services — vehicle driveaway, auto carrier service, storage management, license and titling, reconditioning & make-ready, detailing, body work, mechanical repair, and general maintenance services. Your Role The Outside Operations Specialist is responsible for the Independent Contractor (IC) life-cycle and/or the end-to-end damage repair process. Duties include acting as a liaison for Independent Contractors and/or damage repairs; coordinating internal and external resources to expedite workflow; proactively resolving issues; and performing administrative functions in support of the Outside Operations team to promote excellent customer service on all transportation activities. This position must function during core business hours and allows for telecommuting in accordance with PARS guidelines from our Gainesville, VA office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in an office environment using computers to carry out administrative duties or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical/automotive systems and repair type coding
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while multi-tasking, being detail oriented, and sensitive to communicating accurate information (both verbal and written)
  • Enjoy being part of a cooperative and considerate team
  • Microsoft Office and CRM experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation, recruiting, auto service advisor, or auto claims adjuster experience a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Manage Independent Contractor (IC) relationships by advertising vacancies on various media platforms, coordinating the onboarding process, preparing driver Guides based upon customer and regulatory requirements, tracking expiring credentials, ensuring yearly contracts are executed to avoid a gap in service, and following up with ICs who terminate their contracts.
  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance with field offices in regard to IC interactions and relationships.
  • Manage damage repairs by preparing work orders to include vehicle information, accident damage, photos, and notes; acting as principal contact between body shop vendors, insurance carriers, and customers; and consulting with body shops regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives.
  • Ensure all details on repair services rendered and costs are related to customers and process invoices.
  • Monitor team dashboard and complete tasks to keep orders moving.
  • Perform regular administrative tasks in support of the team.
  • Assist with business projects and reporting.
  • Actively identify and engage in process improvements.
