About The Position

SIC Recycling Inc. is looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Logistics & Operations Coordinator to keep materials, shipments, and records moving smoothly across our operation. If you’re the kind of person who keeps track of every moving piece, communicates clearly, and likes bringing order to a busy day, this role was built for you. You don’t need a logistics or supply chain background to thrive here. If you’ve done well in an administrative, office-coordination, scheduling, or bookkeeping role and you’re comfortable with spreadsheets and numbers, we’ll teach you the rest. What matters most is organization, follow-through, and the ability to talk easily with vendors, carriers, and coworkers.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you don’t let things slip through the cracks
Clear, friendly communication, especially over phone and email with vendors and coworkers
Comfort with numbers and basic accounting tasks (matching invoices, simple reconciliations)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including solid Excel skills (sorting, lookups, basic formulas)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Dependability and follow-through — you close the loop on what you start
Experience in an administrative, office-coordination, scheduling, bookkeeping, or operations-support role

Nice To Haves

Any exposure to logistics, freight, shipping, inventory, or warehouse operations
Experience in recycling, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry
Experience with ERP, inventory, or shipping/TMS systems
A bookkeeping or light accounting background

Responsibilities

Coordinate Shipments & Freight: Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and keep carriers, vendors, and internal teams in sync. Track shipments end-to-end and proactively communicate status, delays, and resolutions. Review bills of lading, packing slips, and freight invoices for accuracy. Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for carriers and freight partners.
Keep Inventory Accurate: Maintain accurate inventory records across daily operations. Run cycle counts, reconciliations, and routine inventory checks. Look into variances, damages, and shipping discrepancies and follow them through to resolution. Flag shortages and overstock early so nothing catches us off guard.
Track Off-Site Materials: Keep tabs on materials held at vendor, partner, and customer locations. Coordinate stock levels, returns, and movement of material with outside contacts. Maintain clear visibility and reporting on off-site inventory.
Light Accounting & Recordkeeping: Match invoices, packing slips, and purchase records, and flag anything that doesn’t line up. Keep clean, organized records and reporting for operational reviews. Partner with accounting on routine reconciliations and paperwork.
Keep Everyone in the Loop: Work closely with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting to keep workflow tight. Surface bottlenecks early and recommend practical process improvements.
