About The Position

The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, ensure efficient procurement, production, inventory management, and shipping to meet business objectives and customer demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years directly supervising personnel in supply chain management
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and industry standards
  • End to end supply chain competency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Inquisitive mind capable of deductive reasoning and logical thought process
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Talent in negotiations and networking.
  • Effective interpersonal skills - including positive, diplomatic, proactive verbal communication and the ability to listen attentively and understand verbal information
  • Establish/strengthen cross functional relationships with corporate, vendors, and facility departments to support continuous improvement efforts, procedures, and sensitivity to costs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with utilizing lean tools such as JIT, Kanban, etc is a plus
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations, safety policies/procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing every stage of the supply chain, from sourcing raw material to delivering finished products considering food safety, quality, and cost.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance across the supply chain network.
  • Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance through trends/scores, and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials while following the Corrective Action process with supplier deviations.
  • Ensure scheduling is completed for process and packaging to meet Pos with emphasis to optimize the schedule and partner with Operations with adverse conditions.
  • Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations to minimize shortages or excess inventory and implement audits including FIFO.
  • Coordinate transportation to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to the warehouse.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
  • Train, mentor, and manage the supply chain teams while collaborating with internal departments such as operations, quality, and finance.
  • Monitor supply chain KPI’s, analyze logistics data, and prepare reports to support decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training for procedures or policies that are covered within supply chain.
