About The Position

Lavi Industries is seeking a Logistics Manager (Inbound/Outbound) for their Valencia, CA facility. This role is responsible for optimizing freight operations, including negotiating with carriers, reviewing shipment details to reduce costs and improve utilization, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, auditing freight invoices, and using data to drive results. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations
Advanced Excel skills
Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP platforms
Strong math, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to negotiate effectively
Ability to manage carrier relationships
Ability to hold partners accountable for service and pricing
Strong spatial reasoning
Practical experience improving packaging efficiency and cube utilization

Responsibilities

Build strong carrier partnerships and run regular RFPs to secure competitive rates and payment terms across LTL, FTL, Ocean, and Parcel.
Review box sizes, packaging, and palletization to reduce DIM charges and improve trailer and container utilization.
Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, tracking shipments to support on-time delivery.
Review freight invoices, dispute billing errors, manage claims, and address customer chargebacks tied to freight issues.
Maintain logistics KPIs, support shipping quotes for Sales, ensure compliance, and apply accurate freight classifications.
