About The Position

This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS), a group within Mission Technologies that provides live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions, fleet sustainment, nuclear and environmental services, and Australia business. HII, a trusted partner to military customers, designs, develops, and operates the largest LVC enterprise for warfighter preparation and has maintained and modernized the U.S. Navy fleet for over 40 years. HII also supports the Department of Energy's national security mission through site management, operation, and safe cleanup of legacy waste. HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager (Level 4) to lead a multifaceted logistics team supporting the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC‑N). This role encompasses logistics planning, equipment maintenance management, software lifecycle support, and inventory control for a diverse portfolio of simulation training systems and facilities. The Logistics Manager Level 4 at JITTC‑N will manage a diverse portfolio of hardware, software, and facility resources across a complex, distributed mission environment. Key responsibilities include directing a logistics support team, overseeing property management and inventory operations, ensuring the readiness of critical systems, and coordinating with engineering, system administrators, operators, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to achieve mission success. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing software upgrade cycles, coordinating version control, and managing sustainment activities for IT and simulation systems. This includes forecasting logistics needs, analyzing system performance and consumption trends, ensuring compliance with security and property management requirements, and providing technical guidance to end-users. The Logistics Manager is crucial for maintaining high system availability, operational efficiency, and continuous support for Air Force and DoD training missions through effective communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have experience with logistics and/or supply chain management.
  • Candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Candidate must have experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and Air Force drawings.
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly prefer candidates with an active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Experience with Air Force training programs a plus.
  • Knowledge of spares forecasting and IT lifecycle management.
  • Previous experience with JSE infrastructure, similar simulation designs, or other large scale distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the logistics support team responsible for equipment, materials, software, in facilities across JITTC N.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Lead briefings and meetings and serve as the project lead for logistics-based initiatives.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and lifecycle management, including warranties, Service Life Agreements, and other material sustainment planning.
  • Manage software lifecycle requirements in coordination with Systems Administrators and Configuration Managers, covering license management, upgrades, renewals, and system documentation.
  • Support IT systems maintenance management, including spares lists, bench stock, and technical performance assessments.
  • Manage logistics related procurement requirements, purchase request support, and purchase orders tracking for equipment, software, and IT system deliveries.
  • Conduct property receipt, compliance monitoring, and DD250 processing.
  • Oversee the acceptance, accountability, and transfer of GFE and CAE using eQuip or similar inventory systems, including inventory planning, scheduled inventories, and coordination on obsolete or deprecated items.
  • Operate effectively in warehouse and industrial environments, including the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Develop and manage inventory plans using DoD Item Unique Identification (IUID) mechanisms, track consumables and spares levels, and determine software license renewal requirements in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate logistics and technical data to support operational decisions.
  • Track and brief failure rates, consumption trends, software update cycles, and forecasted shortages.
  • Assess product and system performance, reliability, and suitability for mission requirements.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure all property, systems, and software delivered to secure facilities meet security and accreditation requirements.
