Promote safety, quality and reliability in all activities conducted by the maintenance team. Improve workforce productivity and work quality by eliminating - in advance - potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of labor, parts and materials. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work performed in all facility areas. Maintain appropriate records and files to permit the meaningful analysis and reporting of results for work done. Meet production deadlines, maintain cost control goals, complete daily duties and other duties assigned. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. The role involves receiving, reviewing, and screening all work order requests to ensure clarity, realistic priority, and accurate coding. It requires checking authorization, creating work orders, and referring questionable requests to the Maintenance Manager. The planner will obtain necessary documentation like blueprints and manuals, examine unplanned work, and partner with purchasing for timely delivery of parts. A key aspect is identifying and obtaining materials, prioritizing safety, sequencing work steps, estimating labor hours and costs, and assigning delay codes. The position also requires avoiding waste and using reasoning to solve problems.
