About The Position

Our Logistics Manager position will be responsible for working on a large construction project jobsite overseeing all logistics processes which will include (but not limited to) waste management, traffic management as well as flow of equipment and materials.
Experienced construction site logistics manager required to ensure the management of materials, sub-contractors, traffic and access to a busy construction site is carried out in a safe and timely manner. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years experience as an onsite Logistics Coordinator/Manager
• Basic knowledge in standard building and construction processes preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of jobsite set-up activities (mobilizing & demobilizing)
• Manage a smooth onsite flow of in-coming & outgoing traffic
• Public point of contact for all traffic/materials flowing in and out of jobsite
• Safely manage the flow of pedestrian traffic
• Handle the flow of labor, equipment and materials effectively.
• Plan internal and external logistics routes through the project phases.
• Pre-plan the usage of key assets.
• Create a secure site.
• Manage installation of site accommodation.
• Create operational procedures and method statements.
• Coordination of all combine scaffolding
• Coordination of crane lifts within our scope.
• Project warehouse coordination and control.
• Help with coordination of site services team.
• Perform other duties as assigned
