About The Position

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the MRTFB in the DoD. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).
  • Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Initiating, creating, editing, and finalizing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs) for Aviation Weapons Systems; 2) Communicating, both orally and in writing, complex Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) support requirements in order to convey issues and restrictions of assigned program(s), negotiate change requirements, evaluate contractor inputs and make recommendations to the decision authority, engineers, logisticians, contractors and vendors, and personnel at all levels of fleet maintenance and management; 3) Creating and presenting briefings to leadership as part of problem definition and resolution analyses, providing logistic guidance and direction to decision makers involved with acquisition, development or modifications of aircraft weapons systems, subsystems and associated equipment; 4) Serving as a team lead or senior specialist in directing other logistics personnel in the development of ILS products and projects; 5) Determining and developing total supportability requirements, conducting reviews of documents, consolidating, and submitting supportability plans for assigned systems and; 6) Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of total system support concepts, including life cycle engineering, life cycle logistics, and cost-wise readiness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop information as required on emerging issues and conveying that information to appropriate activities.
  • Responsible for the planning, acquisition, and sustainment of integrated logistics and industrial support packages, enterprise analyses and planning tools.
  • Act as a Liaison with program office sustainment/ logistics, engineering and delegated airworthiness agents to efficiently complete the staffing of technical products in accordance with service/partner airworthiness authority directives.
  • Participate in contractor and government meetings and discussions and review work documents developed in support of fleet sustainment requirements.
  • Provide technical support, feedback, and review of supportability analyses for the integration of the propulsion system into the air system.
