About The Position

Serve as a DLA Energy Liaison Officer (LNO)/Contingency Planner between the Commander, DLA Energy and the Commander, U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), Logistics Directorate. Provide expert advice and technical guidance to direct the design, development, execution, and promulgation of operational and contingency plans for theater wide bulk petroleum support to OSD, JCS, Combatant Commands, and Military Services mission. Develop and publishes annually, a Bulk Petroleum Logistics Support Plan identifying commercially owned, commercially operated bulk petroleum logistical infrastructure and capabilities for each country with the USCENTCOM AOR. Serve as the principle DLA Energy planning advisor and consultant to the Logistics Directorate, USCENTCOM, regarding bulk petroleum logistics planning in support of USCENTCOM and its components war planning and contingency execution efforts. Resolve operations plan shortfalls, limitations and other conditions that impact DLA Energy’s ability to perfume it wartime bulk petroleum logistics support mission. Analyze exercise and/or contingency operations to use as a basis for improving and revising DLA Energy doctrine, directives, instructions, and revising the DLA Energy Middle East Bulk Petroleum Support Plan.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
  • To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
  • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
  • Creditable specialized experience includes: Evaluates operations plans and assesses supporting tasks and missions.
  • Performing in depth mission analysis for specific tasks and determining customer and war-fighter logistics requirements.
  • Advises senior officials of any USCENTCOM support issues that impact DLA Energy.
  • Must meet the requirements specified within USCENTCOM MOD 18 Individual Protection and Individual-Unit Deployment Policy in relation to occupying a position at an overseas/deployed location within the CENTCOM area.
  • Must have a REAL ID or other acceptable identification documents to access certain federal facilities.
