About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Logistics Management Analyst/Ammunition Operations for Fayetteville, NC. This role executes ammunition supply and services requirements for mobilization, readiness, and demobilization of unit assets. It involves planning distribution and work sequence, managing information in automated munitions tracking and accountability systems, and conducting reviews for multi-level and multi-agency ammunition logistics operations. The position also manages installation requirements for handling unusual requests, receipt, storage, and disposition of large shipments, hazardous cargo, material recycling, and explosives residue disposal. Additionally, it manages research, purchase requests, issue, receipt, and tracking for all materials, components, and parts necessary for assigned equipment and vehicles, while maintaining associated records and logs. The role includes managing facilities, office equipment, administrative supplies, and files, and acting as a sub-hand receipt holder. It supports material organization through cross-functional logistics activities, delivering supplier quality assurance, materials systems, and customer service. Interaction with internal customers and suppliers regarding product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement is expected. The role involves submitting unit sub-tasks and requisitions to the Supply Support Activity (SSA), examining and inventorying received items, verifying documentation, reporting discrepancies, and referring unresolved shortages to the Government representative. Shipment safety standards, correct material handling methods, and facilitating procurement planning sessions are also key responsibilities. The analyst identifies potential vendors, provides assistance with Justification and Authorization (J&A) documents, reviews requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, and provides subject matter expertise in the acquisition process. Operation of various DOD computer property accounting programs, processing and filing documents for property book accountability, performing physical inventories, preparing reports, minor maintenance of vehicles/material handling equipment, and area maintenance are also part of the duties. The position also involves receiving, processing, editing, and tracking purchase requests, and preparing shipper's certifications for hazardous material.

Responsibilities

  • Executes ammunition supply and services requirements for mobilization, readiness, and demobilization of unit assets.
  • Plans distribution and sequence of work on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis.
  • Manages information in automated munitions tracking and accountability systems.
  • Conducts reviews, and issues procedural instructions extending beyond local operations involving multi-level and multi-agency ammunition logistics operations.
  • Manages installation requirements for accomplishing the handling of unusual requests, receipt, storage and disposition of large shipments, large items, hazardous cargo, material recycling, and explosives residue disposal.
  • Manages all research, purchase requests, issue, receipt, and tracking for all materials, components, and parts necessary in support of the full range of equipment and vehicles assigned.
  • Maintains records, logs, reports, and forms associated with providing this logistical support.
  • Manages facilities, and responsible for office equipment, administrative supplies and files associated with this effort.
  • Acts as sub-hand receipt holder for items as required.
  • Supports the team based material organization by performing logistics and logistics support activities in a variety of cross functional areas.
  • Delivers supplier quality assurance, materials systems, and customer service.
  • Interact with internal customers and suppliers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
  • Submits unit sub-tasks and requisitions to Supply Support Activity (SSA), identifying all pertinent information surrounding the requirement IAW SSA operating procedures.
  • Examines and inventories items received to verify identity, part number, and quantity with shipment documentation.
  • Checks for and reports discrepancies and damage, and takes appropriate actions to correct discrepancies.
  • Refers unresolved material shortages to Government representative, recommending and identifying alternate means of acquisition.
  • Responsible for shipment safety standards using correct material handling methods and devices to ensure receipt at final destination without damage or discrepancies.
  • Facilitates procurement planning sessions with user departments’ representatives to ensure understanding of the procurement process and associated time frames and to establish respective roles and responsibilities.
  • Identifies potential vendors, using open source research methods, based upon government established requirements.
  • Provides assistance with the formulation of documentation in support of Justification and Authorization (J&A) documents, sole source justification and any other associated documentation required as identified by the customer.
  • Reviews requisitions, purchase orders and reports for accuracy and compliance in accordance with established policies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to customer personnel in acquisition process.
  • Operates various DOD computer property accounting programs to establish, track, and issue stock items.
  • Review, process, and file documents in accordance with established policies and regulations for property book accountability.
  • Performs other duties to include, but not limited to, physical inventories, preparation/maintenance of reports, minor maintenance/operation of various types of vehicles/material handling equipment, and area maintenance of work areas.
  • Receives, processes, edits and tracks purchase requests.
  • Prepares and certifies shipper's certification for hazardous material when any type of hazard is involved with ASP transportation in accordance with DoD guidelines.
  • Manages, organizes, monitors, analyzes and coordinates the operations of the ASP, to include property management, material management, transportation, supply and storage management, ASP operations, and amnesty point operations.
  • Supports organization’s operational and training ammunition requirements when required outside of the Ft. Liberty area.
  • Worldwide travel required to meet the organization’s needs.
