About The Position

A highly reputable company is looking for a Logistics Clerk to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties including but not limited to manage the loading and unloading of trucks efficiently while ensuring all paperwork complies with corporate, customer, and governmental requirements. The role requires good judgment in instructing scale customers and professional interaction with truck drivers, their dispatchers, and customers. Responsibilities include issuing necessary documentation to truck drivers for compliance with DOT hazardous material regulations and security procedures, and much more!

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics coordination for shipments.
  • Commitment to working variable shifts with reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel for formulas, worksheets, and data entry.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Expertise in logistics and scheduling deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage truck loading and unloading processes efficiently.
  • Ensure all paperwork meets corporate, customer, and governmental requirements.
  • Instruct scale customers using good judgment.
  • Interact professionally with truck drivers, dispatchers, and customers.
  • Dispatch trucks and issue necessary documentation such as placards, seals, labels, material safety data sheets, and bills of lading.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and administrative personnel to expedite product movements.
  • Coordinate with labs for product analysis and specifications.
  • Sort and file records, maintaining various filing systems neatly and accurately.
  • Check and proofread customer orders and computer-generated data reports.
  • Enter information into computer databases to prepare loading instructions and other documents.
