About The Position

The Logistics Generalist - Full Performance role requires adherence to the regulations, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Office of Logistics and the Sponsor's supply chain regulations. This position involves close coordination with senior Logistics Staff officers, assisting in the administration and control of purchasing materials and services, directing the transportation of people and goods, overseeing materials management, coordinating facility services, tracking costs and personnel resources, and administering multi-faceted programs. The role may involve travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations for temporary logistics support. The Logistics Generalist must possess a diverse and experienced skill set in logistics operations, with duties varying based on the office of assignment and priorities set by senior logistics staff.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Five (5) years of relevant logistics experience in the public or private sector.
  • OR a minimum of 12 months, within the last 3 years, of experience as a Logistics Generalist supporting a sensitive Sponsor program
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, a willingness to help others, and flexibility throughout any given working day regarding tasks conducted.
  • Ability to obtain extensive knowledge and application of Sponsor's overall logistics and supply chain processes, policies, regulations, and unique authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the ordering of materials through various internal and external sources, validating customer requirements against regulations, and estimating costs.
  • Reconciling financial statements to ensure proper recording of expenses, reconciling accounts payable for accuracy and funding availability, and reviewing bills/invoices for accuracy.
  • Coordinating and assisting with the transportation of material and people, including fulfillment.
  • Processing transportation documentation, learning shipping and receiving procedures, and arranging transportation of material.
  • Arranging for appropriate stock levels of packing materials for shipment of equipment and other stocked items.
  • Preparing material for shipment, including safe-handling and packaging in accordance with Sponsor's standards.
  • Arranging for courier and/or driver services by coordinating with the appropriate transportation office.
  • Researching best transportation options for customers and determining best shipping methods based on customer, cargo type, and timeline requirements, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Transporting cargo, personnel, time-sensitive items, and equipment as necessary to fulfill Sponsor's mission.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders to fulfill mission requirements in a timely manner.
  • Obtaining advance approval for freight/aviation and aviation planning requirements that require coordination with the Sponsor's Transportation Fusion Center or other entities involved in arranging aircraft scheduling.
  • Responding to courier and driver requests and resolving scheduling problems.
  • Maintaining inventories of goods and materials in accordance with Sponsor's regulations.
  • Processing inventory requests, validating receipt of goods and materials against requirements, ensuring fulfillment, and coordinating property record updates.
  • Coordinating the maintenance of a fleet of vehicles by maintaining table of vehicular allowances and tracking database.
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained, fully mission capable, and in the necessary location for mission success, including relocating vehicles for services and repositioning needs.
  • Fulfilling property accountability and auditability actions, planning and conducting property inventories, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring proper disposal according to Sponsor's regulations/guidelines/office SOPs.
  • Distributing and tracking parking permits, WEX cards, license plates (and renewals), E_ZPass devices, and other items.
  • Serving as the Responsible Officer of record where required.
  • Coordinating with the Sponsor's Facilities Management in the implementation of office moves, renovations, and maintenance.
  • Implementing office moves, establishing schedules and procedures, and ensuring adequate staff availability.
  • Assisting Facilities Management in office renovations by serving as a liaison between customers and construction workers.
  • Scheduling routine office maintenance and working with Facilities Management to ensure offices are properly maintained.
  • Coordinating with Facilities Management and IT Support to facilitate computer movement, connections, and phone service.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
