About The Position
This full-time position exists to coordinate jobs, vehicles and drivers for the transport of hazardous waste, universal waste and non-hazardous waste from customer and company sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as dispatcher or similar position
- Knowledge of appropriate transportation regulations
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years prior experience as a dispatcher or in the transportation industry
Responsibilities
- Schedule jobs and drivers for daily customer routes
- Schedule outgoing waste deliveries with other disposal facilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing loads for three facilities
- Prepare and review shipping papers and manifests
- Enter data and maintain records of calls and driver activities
- Ensure compliance with DOT and RCRA regulatory standards
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance
