Requirements

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
• Experience using FedEx Shipmanager, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Office Products
• 1 year experience on sit-down forklift
• Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday

Responsibilities

• Prepares goods for shipment, inspects for proper packaging and documentation ensuring shipments will arrive on time and intact without damage
• Correctly chooses routing method and service level for shipments utilizing company’s existing common carriers, truck load carriers, freight forwarders, air freight & parcel providers depending on product, packaging and delivery deadlines to meet customer needs
• Enters shipments in FedEx Shipmanager and UPS Wordship software programs
• Participates and oversees cycle counting/reconciliation activities
• Operates forklift or uses hand-truck to move raw materials and finished goods on and off trucks and within the warehouse
• Runs daily reports, and file shipping and receiving records filed daily
• Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment
• Follows all safety and workplace policies
