About The Position

This role involves managing inbound and outbound shipments to ensure a steady supply of goods. The Logistics Coordinator will monitor shipments, coordinate deliveries, communicate with suppliers and customers, and plan schedules for maximum efficiency. The position also requires maintaining a clean and safe work area, reporting any damages or safety issues, and ensuring all work meets customer requirements and logistic goals. A focus on quality, customer service, and continuous improvement through Kaizen/Lean principles is expected. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma/ GED required
One (1) year of manufacturing related experience in shipping and receiving
Must have 5 S skills (keep work area safe and clean)
Must work safely and identify all safety issues using the STOP, CALL, WAIT system until repairs are made!
Customer and supplier orientation
Strong organization and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure
Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approach
Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal & professional level
Experience or knowledge of raw materials planning/production scheduling process
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Self-driven, attention to detail, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on deliverables
Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of employees
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Licensed forklift truck operator a plus
Prior Sage experience a plus

Responsibilities

Rotate inbound and outbound shipments to maintain a steady supply of goods.
Monitor and read incoming and outgoing shipments, noting missing or damaged items.
Coordinate the delivery of materials and products.
Communicate with suppliers and customers.
Plan schedules to maximize efficiency.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Report damages, inventory discrepancies, and unsafe situations to Lead or Supervisor.
Handle on-time shipments and receipts.
Ensure work is done based on Customer requirements.
Partner with the team to meet logistic goals.
Look for and report to Lead or Supervisor any opportunities to improve safety or processes.
Provide excellent service levels by focusing on quality and customer service standards.
Participate in Kaizen/Lean training and events.
