About The Position

Aecon is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. This role, under the general direction of the JV Project Manager, will be responsible for coordinating material deliveries, movement of materials and components between fabricators and site, and requisitioning project materials. The project involves supporting the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor, beginning in 2025. This position is located in Cambridge, ON.

Requirements

Education to include a technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
Minimum 5 years construction/fabrication and subcontractor experience
Ability to successfully contribute to a logistical project team
Knowledge of all aspects of construction such as; technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirements
Good communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to read and understand Cost Reports and Schedules
Basic presentation skills
Excellent Interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and project partners
Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project
Liaise with all fabricators to establish and maintain inventory tracing and early identification of material demands
Coordinate all transportation of materials and modules, including generation of BOL’s and other Aecon-generated documentation
Work with technical experts to requisition materials based on design requirements
Report logistical planning and risk to the JV Project Manager
Implement Joint Venture and Client policies and project procedures as required
Other duties as assigned
