Albemarle Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support rail operations at our Plant in Pasadena, TX.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Skilled in TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), ERP platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of transportation and customs regulations.
  • Ability to analyze logistics costs and manage budgets effectively.
  • Clear and professional interaction with suppliers, carriers, and customers.
  • Expertise in resolving challenges such as shipment delays, damaged goods, and inventory issues.
  • Efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust to changing regulations, market conditions, and operational priorities.
  • Familiar with rail regulations and rail car maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • CLTD (Certification in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution)

Responsibilities

  • Develop transportation schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints related to deliveries.
  • Analyze logistics costs and identifying opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising service quality.
  • Address issues such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or customs disputes to minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor shipments in real-time using tracking systems and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Negotiate contracts with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, coordinating with warehouses to ensure proper storage conditions.
