About The Position

The Logistics Activity Coordinator is responsible for utilizing Arkema standard processes and technologies to manage material movement including raw materials and finished goods within a chemical manufacturing site(s). This position is designed to focus the plant’s efforts on material movements, whether they are raw material receipts or finished good shipments. The position is expected to organize and align personnel and resources to maximize the utility of resources now engaged in receiving and shipping. The coordinator seamlessly handles three business units with differing needs, utilizes two different ERP systems and interfaces with our external warehouse.

Requirements

• Experience with SAP and Oracle systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with operators, shift leaders, warehouse personnel, carriers, and customer service departments.
• Problem-solving skills to address order issues and meet performance goals.
• Ability to provide insight and escalate concerns promptly.
• Willingness to serve as a backup for the Logistics Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Pulls open orders from SAP and Oracle and communicates orders and shipping arrangements to operators, shift leaders and warehouse personnel on a daily basis.
• Uses same reports to contact carriers to set up a pickup schedule.
• Reviews shipping log from previous day and communicates any shipping issues to the warehouse personnel and Arkema/PMC’s customer service departments.
• Addresses open orders and issues with orders for the joint venture, PMC/Stannica, and their customers daily.
• Works effectively with others throughout the supply chain organization to solve problems and meet performance goals for customer satisfaction and margin.
• Provides insight and escalates concerns as soon as possible so that Customer Service and demand planning is aware of delivery/supply challenges.
• Serves as the primary backup for the Logistics Supervisor.
• Completes and processes all paperwork for shipment in SAP/Oracle.
