About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing a 24/7 shipping operation, including driver and broker management, order entry, and securing new brokers/haulers. This role involves identifying cost-saving and efficiency improvements, managing fuel island responsibilities, and handling disciplinary actions for drivers and brokers. Daily tasks include load planning, repair management for tractors and tanks, ensuring timely deliveries, reporting on key performance indicators, approving trucking-related invoices, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

7+ years of experience dispatching
Team-player, great attitude, problem-solver, multi-task, accurate communication, sense of urgency, customer-centric

Nice To Haves

Commodity product delivery experience preferred
Associate degree preferred
Bi-lingual preferred

Responsibilities

Driver/broker management planning of essentially a 24/7 shipping operation
Order entry for customer loads
Secure new brokers/haulers to diversify our network for both profit & reliability
Proactively help identify ways to help lower our costs and be more efficient
Fuel Island responsibilities-Key fobs, assigning cards, monitoring fuel costs & usage
Discipline – manage drivers and brokers as issues arise, including write-up’s & terminations.
Daily load planning via internal truckers & brokers for pneumatics and flatbeds
Repair management – orders, approval & tracking for tractors & tanks parts/services
Manage timely deliveries to customers along with regular updates/communication
Reporting – continuity of current reports (tonnage, rates, etc.) while also helping to identify other critical KPI’s
Approval of all invoices related to trucking business
Coordination with customers, internal customer service and internal operations
