The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for booking and scheduling all shipments within their assigned team, understanding key performance metrics for team profitability, and identifying and solving capacity shortfalls. This role requires direct communication with Account Executives and the Leadership team, demonstrating thorough knowledge of systems and tools to secure equipment, and assigning carriers based on shipment information. The coordinator will also negotiate carrier rates, ensure all expected loads are covered daily, and assist with training new team members. Maintaining productive relationships with customers, carriers, and internal staff, as well as monitoring carrier performance, are key aspects of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
